Entry Description

This new home in Beverly Hills’ famous Trousdale neighborhood was inspired by our client’s love of Richard Neutra’s architecture. The materials and details included in this home, while contemporary, all echo a love of the corner window, terrazzo flooring, and aluminum sliding doors that capitalize on a dramatic city view. The house therefore retains elements of the original mid-century style of the Trousdale neighborhood while incorporating modern appliances, materials and design elements.
An easy and vibrant connection between indoors and out was also part of the vision of the home, and light and fresh air stream in from the numerous sliding walls and windows throughout the house.
In addition to these considerations, the client has an extensive art collection, and having a dramatic space to display his collection was kept in mind throughout the design and building process.
