Entry Description

The design responds to the countryside by creating a rural settlement organically related to the landscape. The composition centres on the existing lawn, acting as a mediation between buildings and nature. The multipurpose room, designed as a pavilion, allows continuity from inside to outside. Together with veranda and courtyards, the idea of vernacular village is reinterpreted in a new manner. Natural light and ventilation are enabled in all functional spaces; sustainable systems including solar panels, rainwater recycling and waste-water biotreatment are adopted to minimize impact to nature.
