Entry Description

This catalog was created to accompany the exhibition entitled: Sheila Hicks - Thread, Trees, River' . Sheila Hicks (*1934), an US-American artist who lives in Paris, eludes traditional notions of textile art. Hicks expands the language of sculpture, painting and the environment with new forms and dimensions in the connection between nature, textiles, colour, architecture and space. ‘The book as exhibition flow’. The book leporello design refers to the title of the exhibition and to the artist's objects. The respective front pages - there is no dedicated back - are covered with linen.
