Vooking is the worlds first „Model-Kitchen“ for vegetarian cooking, which was developed by designers in
cooperation with a chef.
The kitchen is aimed at the continually growing market of vegetarians, vegans and
flexitarians, as well as at a planned, healthy diet, which sustainably reduces our ecological
footprint.
Vooking rethinks the kitchen anew and divides it into 7 stand-alone units as well as into active and passive cooking areas. Numerous innovations and 2 patents were created during this development.
MOTIVATION:
The number of vegetarians, vegans, as well as flexitarians is constantly increasing for a variety of reasons.
Many prefer vegetarian food in the meantime for health reasons (Best-Agers), for the sustainability (ecological footprint) but also for the culinary pleasure (food quality).
Thanks to the VOOKING project we can at least positively influence the future of nutrition and cooking.
INNOVATION
The special angle on the design and the demands of a kitchen led to a variety of innovative approaches:
The sink: In vegetarian cooking far more foods are cleaned and washed. The novel 2-basin sink with brims is modular and flexible.
Germination (from sprouts, beans up to oil seed) is integrated here for the first time in the sink.
Spices: Vooking offers space for 36 spices at a glance, stored in high quality ceramic pots with integrated mortars.
Cutting, chopping: large boards and a kitchen processor integrated into the worktop.
Grain-Unit: An integrated weighing scales allows the grains to be portioned from the grain bags. For the first time a grain mill is designed as a built-in appliance thus fulfilling the demands of modern design.
Indoor Farming: Fresh herbs and spices. Harvest your own plants. For this purpose there is a special cupboard with 4 climate sectors and growth-LED lights.
High quality materials adapted to the requirements of vegetarian cooking.
Clustering of the living spices into climate sectors.
