A revolution breaks the mould in order to change existing reality. Even objects that animate our spaces have always needed to be transformed through innovations reinventing them to express emerging needs. Sometimes this drive follows the thin line of a pencil that studies shapes to create objects interpreting the dream of a better world. Twist Chair originates from this line which has come full circle, to turn it into a multifunctional chair, sophisticated and sustainable. An image which has become solid and sensorial due to contamination of cardboard and wood which are enriched also with new colours and essences. Alongside oak and teak, whitened oak, birch and wengè have been added. Varnished white, gray, black, green and red. All elements on which Twist Chair’s balance is played, in a succession of solid and void, neutrality and colour, tranquility and movement, yin and yang. Its sinuous line of exterior finishing thus becomes even more dynamic and visible. The circle of Twist Chair is a solid and airy base, but also a protected compartment for bags, computers, tablets and objects so that they never touch the ground, and always remain with us. This chair is an eco-friendly piece of furniture made thanks to the assembly of simple and easily produced elements. Its design aims at reducing the material used and waste. It also introduces the concept of customization, convertibility and repairability (with its spare parts). The alternation of solid and void is not only an aesthetic and functional feature, it also guarantees Twist Chair the best durability with the intention of using natural, eco-friendly, biodegradable and recycled or recyclable materials in an interesting way. The result is thus the enhancement of the mechanical and physical characteristics of durability and strength of these materials, according to the position they take within the various layers of the product. The contamination gives unusual sensoriality to the chair seat, which can easily be disassembled and transported.
