Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art’s
Children’s Art Centre, in conjunction with the
exhibition ‘Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado’
at the Queensland Art Gallery, 2012

Portrait of Spain for Kids is based on a selection of ten
paintings from the collection of the esteemed Museo
Nacional del Prado in Madrid. This hardcover 76-page
publication presents historical and contemporary Spanish
culture in a format that is engaging and accessible to
children. A loveable mascot, Pepe, guides children
through the book, which features full-colour art work
plates, interesting facts about the artists and their works,
as well as fun activities for the home or classroom.
