In order to make this the most durable and well built phone possible, HTC’s design team turned to an entirely new manufacturing process. Machined from a single block of aluminum, this eye-catching housing feels as solid as a rock. Thanks to an innovative new assembly method, the designers were able to maximize the amount of metal that can be used on a phone – a material of timeless quality and beauty.

The form is built on the legacy of the HTC Hero with its distinctive trademark ‘chin’. Seen here in an evolved and more sophisticated execution, the chin serves a few purposes: the phone wraps around your face for an increased sense of privacy and it also protects the screen from scratches by angling the phone towards the user when navigating screen content. The unique form and build help to make this unlike any other in the dense smartphone market. It allows its users to feel more intimately connected with their device as it ages more gracefully that its plastic counterparts.
