Entry Description

Located on Expedia’s new 40-acre campus bordering Seattle’s coastline, the Prow is a biophilic retreat for employees. The design creates a soulful sanctuary that calms the mind and thus spurs innovation. The concept was driven by form and function. The building is hidden in plain sight with a roof that mirrors the planted ground plane but simply lifted at one end. The Prow’s wing form symbolizes Expedia’s mission to aid in the art of travel, much of which starts with flying. The interior is a singular room crafted from local materials with three distinct seating groups and expansive views.
