Entry Description

The Property: This 1940s house in a fashionable part of London England was in poor condition and required refurbishment throughout. In addition, a new kitchen/diner extension was being built at the back.
The brief: The interior design brief was to create a comfortable family home with an understated, streamlined and contemporary design scheme.
The ground floor was transformed into an open plan living space, consisting of kitchen, dining, and play/TV area for the children, as well as an adult relaxing and entertainment area which could be closed off using the folding doors. A utility room /guest cloak room was also added to the ground floor. Upstairs an en-suite bathroom was created for the master bedroom, as well as a bedroom and second bathroom for two little girls.

Bio

As principal designer at Nila Design, my passion is taking what is in my client's mind, developing it into a design concept, and then seeing their pleasure as the concept is translated into the home of their dreams.

Having gained years of management experience of multi-million pound projects, I studied interior design at Central St. Martin's College and Chelsea College of Art. This combination means I can deliver great design on time and to budget.
