Entry Description

Flexcraft is an aircraft concept that combines simple reconfiguration of the cabin with STOL capability for different missions. The project outlines the opportunities that the new technologies afford to the design of the passenger experience via innovative cabin layouts and modular fuselage configurations. Three scenarios were developed for the concept: “multimodal cargo pod” for logistics operations; “airborne deployment” for search and rescue operations; “hub feeder” for general aviation operations based on regional airports and hub and spoke transport.

Almadesign focus is on driving innovation through design, using design as a tool to bring people, skills and capabilities together.
Combining human, technological, social and economic perspectives, Almadesign uses a holistic approach to design, developing user-centred technology-based solutions mainly for Transports, Product and Interiors. Almadesign is able to bring together knowledge from different areas and, through collaborative brainstorming, visualization and model making processes, create a tangible vision that helps to steer projects to completion.
