Entry Description

The bridge is a landmark structure that is unique, innovative & sculptural in form. With a 200m single clear span, it's Australia's longest single span pedestrian bridge which provides the community with a safe shared path connection across the Nepean River.

Socially the bridge connects two communities and manages pedestrian/cycle movement including rest & viewing points.

With bridge design strongly driven by landscape and urban design & an evocative engineering solution, the outcome has resulted in a bridge ( a destination) that offers a wonderful user experience (as a movement system).
