Entry Description

The building features a mountain rock-shaped form, which responds to the local stone culture. The plot is small and triangular, situated near the hillside of Shifuren Mountain and surrounded by high rises. With such site conditions, a common architectural form may easily "disappear" in the concrete jungle and become a "podium" of the surrounding high building. Based on the integration of architectural form and functionality, the architects conceived a building which looks like a rock rolled down from the hill. It not only blends with nature but also stands out in the urban built landscape.
