storeroom VS gallery

A Chinese-furniture collector relocated his Beijing’s flat to a compact 32 sqm workshop in Hong Kong. Rather than adopting a stereotype storeroom design, we try to transform it into a private gallery.

Apart from concealing exhibits; some were highlighted in a real scene setting. Besides, an upper mega container with 4 camphor screens inlayed; which enhance storage & sense of comfort. Staircase was also wrapped with different materials with display niche.

Finally, minimal details with extension of floor finishes and floating-bench; created an excellent display backdrop for this gallery.
