Entry Description

'Nyctinasty' was designed as an attempt to solve the problem of air pollution. Its design is inspired by nature, particularly the two plants, pitcher plant and lotus flower. When the sun rises and sets, 'Nyctinasty' will automatically open and close a series of “leaves” to capture solar energy and air particulate matter. It's a public facility with multiple functions. 'Nyctinasty' is ultimately an air purifier, shelter, street light, and a public art installation combined into one structure.
