Entry Description

The renovation and repositioning of the historic Advance Thresher/Emerson-Newton building constructed in 1900/1904 is now a beautifully appointed 183-room hotel. Originally built as a manufacturing facility for steam powered wheat threshers and farming implements, the pair of buildings has undergone a series of renovations that were detrimental to both the historic character and structural stability of the building. The design salvaged as much of the original structure as possible, while creating new elements that felt as though they were naturally part of the space.
