Entry Description

The hotel concept is dominated by one word: “weave”- to unite in a coherent whole by combining various elements and details. The renovation and adaptation of the 1904 Thresher Square was influenced by its historic building use as manufacturing steam-powered farming thresher engines. Minneapolis’ Scandinavian heritage inspired the feeling of ‘hygge’ in the design, focusing on the comforts of home: quilting, weaving, fire and candlelight. The design highlights the visual subtlety of woven connections creating a backdrop to the communal weave of life: food, drink, love, and feeling of home.
