Entry Description

The Energy Lab 2.0 at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is an intelligent platform, set up to explore the interplay of components in the energy systems of the future. The new building 668 on the Campus Nord provides a flexible, high-quality location for this research and appears as a homogenous unit with a translucent building envelope made of polycarbonate that allows the interior wooden construction to shimmer through. The building accommodates an ample, column-free test hall as well as a two-storey office wing including the control station, the test preparation area and the meeting rooms.
