Justine Book

Justine is a graphic novel. The reader is invited to unfold the book and discover its intricacies details. Thus in the first book cover happens the unfolding of the leaf in fragments that, little by little, form an big image of aesthetic and narrative impact.
Principal cover is all black, syntetic, the antithesis of consumerism object, and have sinergy with history. Paradoxically, the first cover acts as the impact element in the book's exposition in the bookstore, because it is magenta color and show a chained teddy bear. In short, a apparent reality are masking another underlying.

Laika is a design studio in a small tree-lined village in São Paulo. Just like the space travel female dog that gave its name to the Laika office, it's a way of looking at the same object from a different point of view. Since 2001, Laika has been traveling through the most diverse design modalities, always beginning from a method that starts from semiology and discourse analysis, for brand building.
