The Flora Award is a prestigious honor and has been presented in support of the Texas Discovery Gardens since 1982. My concept centered around butterflies and creating a masquerade that directly benefits the butterfly house. The invitation is full of iridescent papers, natural speckletones, and other recycled fibers with each piece. It includes a keepsake butterfly mask as well as a butterfly guide that showcases a few of the species being benefitted as a way to engage the invitee. The final RSVP card is made of seed paper, offering an opportunity to grow your own butterfly garden.
