Entry Description

The largest permanent projection system in the world now illuminates theMART building in Chicago with large-scale visual artistry on a nightly basis. Using a software-driven platform, the spectacle projects imagery from celebrated artists onto the stone facade and omits the windows. To cover theMART’s three-acre façade, 34 projectors are housed in a projector room that cantilevers over the south side of the river walk which is designed to blend in with its surroundings by neatly hovering between the walkway and the lower edge of Upper Wacker’s balustrade.
