This collection is inspired by my childhood bedtime story - Journey to the West. This adventure tale has accompanied generations of Chinese children.
I designed this collection based on my interpretation of each character in this story. The prints were adapted from facial makeup designs used in Beijing Opera, and from traditional Chinese comic books. Each print was manufactured using the same technique used with stuffed toys which made each print both a fun and tactile experience for children to wear.
