Luis Pancorbo has been for 8 years Associate Professor in the ETSAM-UPM.
His research interests focus on the technical dimension of architecture and its influence on the methodology of architectural design, American industrial architecture, and industrial ruins and derelict productive landscapes. He has widely published in peer review journals and achieved a Ph.D with a dissertation entitled “Albert Kahn Inc. Architecture as a Technical Object”.
Inés Martin Robles and Luis Pancorbo focus their professional practice on the submission of international architectural competitions. They have won 17 awards in different competitions. First Prizes: Hotel for regional tourism network in Castuera, Badajoz; “Vegas Altas” Congress Center in Villanueva de la Serena, Badajoz; Competition “Hacemos ciudad” SEPES, Guadalajara, Spain; Competition for the construction of temporary homes on public facilities plots in Parla, Madrid; 49 social dwellings in Vallecas, Madrid. They achieved more than 20 awards for their built work, including four COAM awards, the AZ Awards in Canada, AR awards of AIA, AIA|DC’s Unbuilt Awards, Architizer A+Awards, ACSA Faculty Design Award, S.ARCH Awards, Chicago Athenaeum Award, and the MasterPrize Architecture Award.
