Entry Description

9 immersive pavilions were delivered for Freycinet Lodge on Tasmania’s East Coast, Australia. The Coastal Pavilions provide a point-of-difference to the 60 cabins established in the 1990s. The diverse character & sense of country experienced wandering Freycinet National Park with its coastal textures, fluidity & layering is spectacularly unique, exuding inspiration that influenced form, materiality, palette & the experiential. Liminal worked with community, environmental groups & aboriginal elders to develop a contemporary, sustainable response respecting culture & land, reinventing the Lodge.
