I was tasked with creating a fan-made movie poster for a school project, where I chose was ‘Scott Pilgrim vs the World’. The movie tasks titular character, Scott Pilgrim to face the seven evil exes of his girlfriend to be, Ramona Flowers. I developed the plot into a very literal translation of a game of Tic-tac-toe, with each of the seven evil exes being represented by an actual X on the paper. The protagonist, Scott, is represented in a Circle, the opposite of an X. Using water color paint and ballpoint pen for individual aspects and the title, I constructed the poster digitally (Procreate).
