Entry Description

In the Netherlands, around 25k children have one of their parents in prison. Maintaining child-parent relations can positively impact not only the child, but also the parent, by better preparing him/her for release and social reintegration. I designed LINK, a toy set to foster the interaction between the imprisoned parent and visiting child. LINK exists of two sets of undefined forms which are attracted by magnets. One set for the child, one for the father, together providing an interactive talk through the glass wall. This way of playing starts conversations, creating new, pleasant memories.
