Taking inspiration from exhibition artist, Isamu Noguchi's (1904-1988), career as an innovator of sculpture within 20th-century American modernism, playful, minimalist tones are found through the exhibition identity for "Beyond the Pedestal: Isamu Noguchi and the Borders of Sculpture," with the imperfect ellipse used to unify the exhibition's collateral pieces.
