"Bahamian Regatta" is the name of the concept that inspired this collection. Looking at the sport of sailing along with the spectator culture that has been created around the sport. I researched imagery within the Caribbean of sailors, their sportswear and the boats they inhabit. Its hand beading and embroidery are stitched in shapes inspired by the nautical alphabet. And the upper is stitched with a smooth cowhide leather reminiscent of the wood that luxury sailboats are handcrafted from.
