Lotus On The Water

Inspired by designer's name Suyeon which means lotus flower on the water in Chinese characters. With the fusion of oriental moods and contemporary fashions, this collection explores an excellent balance between a sense of Asian art. The designer used natural or transparent fabrics to connote symbolic meaning, purity of lotus flower and water. Each look represents the lotus flower on the water in different ways of designs: a petal - inspired draping and exaggerated silhouette, floating flower - inspired hand beading and screen printing, and the transparent water - inspired layered fabric.

SU.YEON is a New York based high-end brand by designer Suyeon Kim. Suyeon Kim has graduated BFA from Fashion Institute of Technology. Previously, She has worked with Jason Wu and upon graduation, was selected as a top talented student to showcase her collection on F.I.T graduation show called 'Future of Fashion' show. In 2016, Suyeon was the best designer of FIT from Fusion Fashion Show and collaborated with Designow as a prize.
