Entry Description

Location:
Pingjiang County, Hunan Province, China. This is a scenic plot 45 minutes drive from the capital city of Hunan Province, Changsha city.

Concept:
The slope overlooks a beautiful open scenery of knolls and moderate vegetation. The design divides the plot into 2 sections. The huts are situated on the slope terraces to exploit the near 180 degree of view the slope provides. The larger building block is located on the flatland to function both as an entrance structure as well as a communal shelter for the 8 sets of hotel guests and other tourists who require a temporary resting place. The shelter houses a dinning area a convenient store, a pair of toilets, barbecue pits, viewing platform and a sheltered walkway.
Metaphorically, the whole group when viewed from the main road, seems to look like a group of lion'sdens in the backdrop with an alpha lion guarding the front.
