Bolzano Festival Bozen 2015

Bolzano Festival Bozen is an annual event dedicated to classical music that takes place in Bolzano and joins four partners, chromatically identified by four different colors: cyan, magenta, orange and green.
Our design project stems from the relationship between matter and music: from paper matter to sound matter, specifically how paper can interpret musical sound.
We developed a visual identity by creating a grammar made of textures, shapes and compositions. The objective was to connect the versatility of paper, through cuts and folds, to sound\'s power of suggestion, highlighting a sense of tangible musicality. Music thus becomes tactile. 
To reference the sonic undertones of a musical composition we amplified the chromatic distinction to three tones, while assigning a shape of reference that would identify and make each single partner recognizable and harmonious within the event.
