The bi-annual New York International Ballet Competition (NYIBC) celebrates the talents of young dancers from around the world. During the ninth competition in 2007, NYIBC inaugurated its new home at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater. With this move, a new, energized look was needed for the corresponding collateral. The resulting design featured a posterized foot en pointe with a comparatively contemporary and eye-catching yellow background. The stylized type treatment and pronounced use of scale furthered this modern representation of a traditional form of dance.
