We create unique, asymmetrical and non-repeat digital patterns using a software programme designed by our studio team. Our software uses body movement to reconstruct digital data and reveal organic details not possible solely by programming. Lead designer Yen-Ting Cho then adjusts the patterns by hand. We digitally-print the designs onto pure wool without losing the sense of movement and unusual colour-ways inherent to the patterns.
This 2021 scarf collection is inspired by New York City: its energy, landscape and eclectic architecture and culture, from art deco to the super contemporary.
Founded in London in 2016, YEN TING CHO Studio creates innovative and dynamic patterns through human-computer interaction. Our patterns are crafted using digital technology pioneered by company founder and lead designer, Yen-Ting Cho.
We manipulate curated data (photos, videos) into original patterns and radically play with structure and colour to create our signature style. We print our patterns onto the finest materials, such as elegant pure wool, silk and cotton for our award-winning scarf collections. Our work blurs the boundaries between art, design and fashion.
