My capstone collection works to dismantle the social limits of men’s ability to express themselves in fashion. By reconstructing the constraints of masculine stereotypes I intend to rebalance the insufficient enthusiasm for menswear and normalize the celebration of elegant male garments.
As a commentary on the gender gap in fashion culture, I pulled inspiration from centuries of bridal gowns and practices. I also did research into traditional forms of male dress, dandy culture, and the free expression of the LGBTQ community. Thus, resulting in a collection of beautiful modernity for all men.
