Spectra is a seven story pavilion that visitors can journey through to experience the site from a new perspective. The temporary installation was one of the six artworks commissioned for the 2018 Coachella Music and Arts Festival. Spectra's succession of variegated Perspex window panels create a spectrum of colour that spirals up to the sky, embathing its guests with intense colour, and offering vibrant views of the festival as they orbit upwards within the structure. The LED cove light scheme enabled the building to be lit and subtly animated in response to the California sunsets.
