Entry Description

With a 40% higher risk of depression (Olesen et al., 2015), many retirees lose their sense of identity, purpose, and connection after leaving full-time work—yet most workplaces offer little support beyond financial planning.

“Now and Next” redefines retirement as a shared, human-centered transition rather than an administrative end. Through reflective prompts, discussion guides, and peer mentorship, the conceptual platform helps organizations and employees navigate emotional and identity shifts, preserve legacy, and foster purposeful post-career lives through design-driven cultural change.
