Entry Description

With a height difference of almost 30m across the site, the project adopts the idea of rising up in steps, following the natural topography of traditional monastery. The big massing of exhibition hall and library act as a gateway to the centrally located civic node of the site. Ramps and stairs lead the pedestrian flow to travel a height of 30 meters from the waterfront plaza next to the river to the upper street plaza through canyons of spaces. The canyons induce natural ventilation by means of sea and land breeze mechanism.
