The Honō is a conceptual design for an outdoor fireplace.
The design challenges the current trends of commercially
available outdoor fire pits, responding with a sculptural
form that both facilitates and exalts the process of
combustion. Through its form the Honō addresses the
emotional and physical services a bonfire provides,
enhancing the performance of the fire and the experience
of the user.
